Yesterday, November 11, the Supervisory Board of PJSC “Ukrainian Financial Housing Company” (“Ukrfinzhile”) appointed Evgeny Metzger as the head of the board. This is stated in the information disclosure system of the National Securities Commission.
Let us recall that earlier he was the chairman of the board of the state-owned Ukreximbank, who was fired from his post due to the scandal with the attack on journalists of the Schemes program.
It was reported that employees of Ukreximbank attacked journalists of the Schemes program while recording an interview with the then head of the bank, Yevgeny Metzger. At the same time, journalists asked about a $60 million loan secured by the disputed SkyMall shopping center to the firms of a little-known businessman whose company operated in the occupied Donbas and paid taxes to the occupying authorities. After a scandal with journalists, he wrote a letter of resignation.
