Ozon employee says he was fired after interview about company problems
Ozon storekeeper Sergei Vinogradov was fired after an interview in which he spoke about the problems of the enterprise.
It is reported by SHOT.
According to the telegram channel, Sergey heads the trade union of marketplace workers. He said that after the publication of the video about the work of the company, the management was dissatisfied with the fact that they were not consulted before the interview. However, Ozon itself claims that hundreds of employees of the organization participate in various events, in particular, record podcasts, and the communications department is only “happy to help prepare for speeches and provide the necessary information materials.”
The ex-employee added that he was then specially caught on minor delays, reprimanded, and then the man was completely fired unilaterally. Sergey believes that in fact the dismissal is connected with his struggle for better working conditions and the demand for higher wages. But the company said that this was due to frequent delays.
“We broke up with him due to repeated violations of labor discipline and work regime. Of course, there can be no talk of surveillance. The fact is that the work of a storekeeper in a warehouse requires adherence to the schedule and physical presence at the workplace – without this, the work it is simply physically impossible. <...> Unfortunately, Sergey did not fulfill his duties as a storekeeper and functions within the production process. We discussed this with him many times, and there were several warnings, “the company noted.
At the same time, they emphasized that the ex-employee showed himself as a caring person in relation to the team, carefully monitored working conditions and many times asked questions about compliance with standards and safety measures.
The former storekeeper wants to discuss what happened with the shareholders of the marketplace. Otherwise, the man intends to apply to the prosecutor’s office and the court.
