On January 19, the vice-mayor of Miass (Chelyabinsk region) for the property complex Arsen Simonov was detained by law enforcement officers. According to the regional department of the Investigative Committee, he was charged with taking a bribe. We are talking about the amount of 50 thousand rubles, which, according to the investigation, the official received from a representative of one of the commercial organizations in exchange for the conclusion of a municipal contract involving the preparation of documents necessary for the demolition of a building in disrepair.
Simonov was charged with taking a bribe by an official for illegal actions. According to the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation, the vice-mayor can expect punishment from a large fine up to 8 years in prison.
The crime was revealed by employees of the FSB department in the Chelyabinsk region. They are in charge of running the case.
Simonov will soon be given a measure of restraint.
It should be noted, as follows from the declaration for 2021, Simonov during this period earned more than all his colleagues from the Miass administration – 6.8 million rubles. He even surpassed the head of the city, Grigory Tonkikh, who in 2021 reported on the amount of income of about 3 million rubles.
Recall that in 2022, the former vice-mayor of Miass Vasily Soroka became a defendant in the criminal case. The official went to trial on charges of fraud committed with land plots for the resort “Solnechnaya Dolina”. The damage that was caused to the city treasury by his actions, the investigation estimates at 19.3 million rubles.
