Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov at the same meeting, he said: by the end of 2021, at least 10 million doses of the vaccine should be produced. To increase the volumes, an industrial partner was chosen – it became the Nanolek company, whose president is Vladimir Khristenko.

Of course, a person is not easy. Khristenko – stepson of the Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikovawho headed the operational headquarters for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

According to the same Manturov, the output by the end of the year was supposed to be about 3 million doses. But everything didn’t go according to plan. Only on December 17, 2021 “Nanolek” announced on the launch of industrial production of the KoviVac vaccine at a plant in Kirov. And already on May 18, 2022, the manufacturer of the vaccine decided to suspend its release due to the lack of applications. True, there is not a word about this on the manufacturer’s website.

“We will not be able to recoup our costs for the 500 thousand doses produced. The production of these doses was unprofitable. Profitably, the vaccine can be produced in volumes of several million, ”says manufacturers explained what happened RBC. And this “revelation” sounds rather strange. After all, earlier Khristenko in interview with the same RBC already admitted that the project would be unprofitable.

“When we went into this story, our internal investment committee hinted to us that, from the point of view of the criteria approved by the company, we had no correspondence at all, the level of risks was prohibitive – it was obvious that by the time the vaccine was ready, we had nothing on it we won’t earn. Nevertheless, we decided to accept the covid challenge and respond to it, ”said Khristenko Jr. in September 2021.

However, Golikova’s stepson himself does not need money at all. As did his family.

At least Vladimir and Irina Khristenko are the owners of a 164-meter apartment on Malaya Pirogovskaya Street in the capital. The apartments are located in the premium residential complex Barrin House in the Khamovniki district.

Vladimir Khristenko and his sister Yulia own a huge apartment on Tverskaya Street in Moscow. Its area is almost 200 “squares”, and the price can be up to 190 million rubles. But the most interesting is not this. The extract from Rosreestr says: the brother and sister received this apartment from the Presidential Administration – back in 2000. Without paying a single penny for housing. But neither Vladimir nor Yulia were officials – which means that, according to the law, they did not have the right to free housing. If in 2020-2021 the company signed contracts for 5 billion rubles, then only since the beginning of 2022 the amount of contracts has already reached 14 billion. One of the main customers is the Federal Center for Planning and Organization of Drug Provision of Citizens, subordinate to the Ministry of Health. Which (again by coincidence) used to be headed by Khristenko’s stepmother.

Vladimir also had foreign interests. In 2006, he became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MSA as (Czech Republic), an enterprise manufacturing industrial pipeline fittings. However, in the latest report for 2020, his name was not found by Sobesednik.

Of course, the wife of a businessman is not a simple woman either. A year before the start of the pandemic, Irina registered an individual entrepreneur with the main type of work “Restaurant activities and food delivery services.” She already has experience in this business.
