Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that domestic weapons should be constantly improved.
The head of state held a remote meeting with members of the Coordinating Council under the Government of the Russian Federation to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other troops, military formations and bodies, a correspondent reports DOPs with reference to information on the website Kremlin.
Vladimir Putin expressed the opinion that for each item of equipment, the opinion of those who actually use it, the opinion of those who understand how it actually performs its function, should be taken into account.
He added that this also applies to weapons, “which must be constantly, continuously improved and remain effective.”
The President of Russia believes that it is important to ensure active competition between manufacturers and developers.
Recallthat earlier the head of state signed a document on the formation of a coordinating council to meet the needs of the RF Armed Forces.
Decree No. 763 of October 21, 2022 “On the Coordinating Council under the Government of the Russian Federation to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other troops, military formations and bodies” was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
This council, as stated in the document (p. 1), is being created “in order to strengthen the coordination of the activities of the federal executive authorities and the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the course of a special military operation.”
