There’s a coup in Tomsk, dishonest rich people are being put behind bars
Leninsky District Court recognized the former director of the regional branch of Rosselkhozbank Igor Shelevoy guilty of taking a bribe and sent him to a strict regime colony.
We remind you: earlier Shelev were presented accusations of accepting a bribe on an especially large scale. Representatives of a certain construction company gave Shelev a bribe of more than eight million rubles.
This all happened between November 2016 and December 2017. The bribe was required in order for the bank to restructure the overdue debt on the company’s loan through the conclusion of settlement agreements.
By the way, the ex-head of the Tomsk region is now in the pre-trial detention center for this case. Alexander Tereshchenko. He was just one of the entrepreneurs who gave a modest bribe. The second entrepreneur was a former deputy of the regional Duma Sergey Ageevwho is also currently in custody.
Gradually, justice takes its toll, and they begin to imprison all the guilty. At the moment, the consideration of the case of Alexander Shelevoy has been completed by the Leninsky District Court.
The representative of the joint press service of the judicial community of the region said that the court found the ex-head of the bank guilty and sentenced him to three years in prison to be served in a strict regime correctional colony.
In addition, the court deprived Shelevoy of the right to engage in activities related to the performance of organizational, administrative and administrative functions in credit institutions for a period of five years. I would like for a longer time that such people would never interact with big money again, but we have to be content with what we have.
It is also sad that so far the verdict has not entered into force and can still be appealed. Some suspicious loophole for Shelevoy’s lawyers.
And now a little more about the bribe that Shelevoy received. She was given not just money, it is immediately clear: he took everything that was offered. In monetary terms, Sashenka received almost four million rubles and 50 thousand US dollars, and a modest Toyota Camry car worth almost one and a half million rubles was also “donated”.
By the way, this is not the first criminal for Shelevoy. Back in 2020, he was found guilty in a criminal case of abuse of office and received a suspended sentence. Apparently it didn’t stop him.
But the cases of the other suspects – Tereshchenko and Ageev – considered by the court. Accordingly, they are accused of giving a bribe by a group of persons by prior agreement on an especially large scale. Moreover, both have several accusations brewing: Ageev is also accused of another fraud and illegal acquisition of weapons.
According to investigators, in the period from November 30 to December 30, 2013, Ageev stole more than one million rubles belonging to Mikhail Kruts, the husband of Tomsk activist Rimma Kruts, by deceit, consisting in the sale of a T-170 tractor, which is controlled by him, with fake numbers on the frame and engine. It is noted that the accused knew that the state registration of transport is impossible.
As for weapons, it was established that between May 1 and September 29, 2021, Ageev illegally acquired firearms, as well as the main parts and ammunition for them.
But Alexander Tereshchenko is now on trial for the construction of a school in the village of Kornilovo. Actually, that’s why he was removed from the post of head of the district.
