Kommersant.Ru, 10.27.2023, “For unfinished construction, six months were added”: Andrey Ishchenko, who pleaded not guilty, intends to appeal the verdict. […] At the investigation stage, Andrei Ishchenko is completely admitted his guilt, and initially the case was scheduled for hearing in a special manner – without examining the evidence. However, at the end of September, the district court granted the state prosecutor’s request to consider the materials of the second criminal case against Andrei Ishchenko in the general manner. The Primorye prosecutor’s office explained the need to consider the case in a general manner to Kommersant as a “procedural nuance”, without going into details. Already during the trial, Andrey Ishchenko changed his position and began to insist on his innocence.
“Perhaps Andrei Sergeevich was convinced by my attitude (towards the accusation – Kommersant), and therefore he changed his position. I saw self-incrimination in his initial position,” lawyer Kolobov explained to Kommersant. The court found that from February to April 2019, Ishchenko, being the general director of the construction company Aurora-Stroy, entered into agreements with two citizens for participation in the shared construction of apartments in building No. 7 on Safonov Street in Vladivostok.
However, according to the technical documentation, these premises are actually non-residential and unsuitable for living. Thus, the developer misled the shareholders regarding the subject of the transaction.
As a result of the deception, the victims were also deprived of the right to receive support measures in the form of co-financing for the completion of the problem house.
In August, the court sentenced Ishchenko in a fraud case to six years in prison with serving a sentence in a general regime colony and a fine.
According to the investigation, Ishchenko, knowing that equity participation in the construction of residential buildings is in great demand among residents, during the construction of an apartment building on Safonov Street in Vladivostok from 2016 to 2021, defrauded more than 387 million rubles from 187 shareholders.
In October 2022, Ishchenko asked to be drafted to participate in a special military operation, but the military registration and enlistment office refused to mobilize him.
In September 2018, elections for the governor of Primorye were held, in which the acting governor Andrei Tarasenko, nominated by United Russia (*aggressor country), and the candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism), deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region Ishchenko, took part. The elections took place in two rounds. Their results were canceled due to irregularities during the voting. Tarasenko refused to continue the campaign and resigned. Ishchenko tried to challenge the election results.
