The 2nd Western District Military Court appointed a 49-year-old resident of the Oryol region Michael Davydov forced treatment due to throwing a Molotov cocktail at the building of the regional government. This is reported by the “Solidarity Zone”.
In June, Davydov’s case was reclassified under the article on terrorist attack. The man was declared insane and was given compulsory treatment.
On August 24, 2022, an unknown person threw two Molotov cocktails at the door of the government building of the Orel Region. He was filmed by security cameras. On August 31, Mikhail Davydov was detained on suspicion of committing a crime. First, a case was opened against him under the article on attempted murder committed in a generally dangerous way (paragraph “e” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code with the application of part 3 of article 30 of the Criminal Code).
On September 2, 2022, the man was placed in a pre-trial detention center. The investigation claims that since the spring of 2019, he has been hiding from the federal wanted list under the article on refusal to testify (Article 308 of the Criminal Code). Davydov himself and his lawyer deny this.
According to Beware, News, Davydov is a supporter of the Artpodgotovka movement. The Telegram channel also claims that he did not pay child support for six children.
Davydov’s term in the SIZO was extended several times, after which he was sent to a psychiatric hospital. According to preliminary data, he has been there since February 2023.
