The case of a kindergarten near Kyiv: VAKS arrested the property of ex-accountant Gatny
The Anti-Corruption Court considered and granted the petition of the NABU detective to seize the property of the suspect in the case of a kindergarten near Kyiv.
The High Anti-Corruption Court seized the property of Alina Pivkach, the former chief accountant of the Gatnensky village council of the Kyiv region. She is suspected of embezzling UAH 27.3 million for the construction of a pre-school educational institution in Gatny.
This decision was made by the VAKS on November 10, which was left unchanged by the Appeal Chamber on December 13, Word and Deed reports.

As indicated, VAKS seized such property of Pivkach: two land plots with an area of 0.0891 hectares and 0.118 hectares, two land plots with an area of 0.12 hectares and a residential building with an area of 290.7 square meters. Disagreeing with this decision, the suspect's lawyer filed an appeal, but left it unsatisfied.
“Refuse the defense counsel to renew the term for appeal. The appeal of the defender of the suspect was dismissed, the decision of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated November 10, 2022 is unchanged,” the decision says.
Earlier, VAKS determined UAH 1.736 million of bail for the suspect Pivkach.</p
Recall, NABU and SAPO suspected five people of taking UAH 27.3 million for the construction of a preschool educational institution in Gatny. Among the suspects is the former village head Bronislav Koritsky.
The investigation established that at the end of 2017, the director of Alliance DS LLC Protas and the chairman of the village council Koritsky decided to seize the funds of the local community budget. The corruption scheme was implemented under the pretext of building a kindergarten that the community needed.
In February 2018, the village council announced open tenders for the construction of a preschool institution for 280 places, in which the pre-determined Design and Construction Alliance LLC won. According to the terms of the tender, Design and Construction Alliance LLC was supposed to build an institution and put it into operation by the end of 2018. The winner of the auction and officials of the village council seized more than UAH 27.3 million during the construction of the kindergarten, which is still unfinished.
During the investigation, the investigation established fake certificates of work performed, in particular, overestimation of the cost of construction work and materials used , as well as payment to Alliance DS LLC for services for the development of project documentation, which were not actually provided.
The investigation considers the former head of Gatny Koritsky and the head of Alliance DS LLC Protas to be the organizers of the scheme. The ex-directors of the Design and Construction Alliance LLC Sergey Mirny and Vyacheslav Pank are also suspected in the case.
