The Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) has opened a criminal case on the murder of a businessman and his family, which was committed back in 1998 in Krasnoyarsk. Alexander Boyko was detained on charges of a crime 25 years ago. According to investigators, he shot the creditor who refused him the installment plan of the debt, and then his wife and five-year-old daughter, so as not to leave witnesses. The detainee confessed, showed the place where he hid the bodies of the victims. During the investigation, the court took him into custody.

Krasnoyarsk investigators opened a criminal case about the murder of a family of three a quarter of a century later. This was announced by Yulia Arbuzova, senior assistant to the head of the TFR department for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

On June 1, 1998, the police received a report about the disappearance of an entire family – a 36-year-old private entrepreneur, his 31-year-old wife and their 5-year-old daughter.

The alarm was sounded by relatives who could not contact the man and his family for several days. Having opened the door of the apartment, the law enforcement officers found spent cartridges, blood and traces of dragging bodies. There were no bodies in the apartment. The investigating authorities opened a criminal case on the murder, but it fell into the category of “visyakov”.

The case was solved in May 2023. “As part of the work to solve crimes of past years, as a result of re-examining the case materials, interrogating witnesses and conducting expert research, a 55-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk was found to be involved in the murder of his family. As a result of the psychophysiological study, the attacker was presented with irrefutable evidence of his involvement in the murders, he confessed to his deed, ”the ICR department said.

According to Kommersant-Siberia sources, the detainee turned out to be an acquaintance of the family, Alexander Boyko, who had previously been involved in the case as a witness.

The investigation restored the picture of the events of 25 years ago. According to the case file, on May 30, 1998, a suspect came to the merchant’s apartment to resolve the issue of paying off a debt in the amount of 20 million rubles. (He occupied them even before the denomination). They failed to fix it. As a result of the conflict, the visitor killed the creditor with two shots from a sawn-off shotgun. Then he took his gun and got rid of the witnesses – he shot the wife and daughter of the entrepreneur. As it turned out, the businessman’s neighbors heard pops coming from his apartment, but did not attach much importance to them.

At night, on his scooter “Ant”, the criminal took the bodies to the summer cottage, which belonged to his relative, threw them into a pit and buried them. The detainee confirmed his confessions during the investigative experiment. In addition, they said in the management of the TFR, he showed the place where he hid the bodies of the victims. On May 22, 2023, the remains of all family members, as well as items of their clothing, were found on the territory of the dacha society.

The detainee was charged under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the murder of three people, including a minor), for which he faces life imprisonment.

The investigators sent a request to the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk to place him in custody for two months, which was granted.
