Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry of Russia Denis Manturov annually receives hundreds of millions of rubles from the KAMAZ Trade and Financial Company Warehouse, which is the official distributor of KAMAZ Joint-Stock Company. In 2020 and 2021, Manturov received almost 600 million rubles in this way. Payment was made on the same dates: January 15 and June 30. Formally, this happened “under a securities sale and purchase agreement” dated 2018, which KamAZ PJSC concluded with Service Group. Manturov personally stands behind her. Officially, the director of Service Group for a long time was businessman Oleg Rumyantsev, close to the Manturov family. At the same time, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Boarding House Primorye, registered in Gelendzhik. The beneficiary of this firm is the 86-year-old mother of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia. Denis Manturov’s mother is the beneficiary of several other companies: for example, the Cherry Orchard company, which owns a 794 square meter mansion on Stanislavsky Street in Moscow. Another building in the capital, owned by Denis Manturov through nominees, is a six-story building with an area of almost two and a half thousand square meters in Milyutinsky Lane. It was recorded on the already mentioned company “Service Group”. In general, Denis Manturov’s family owns real estate worth billions of rubles. Among the assets are a hotel in the center of Moscow, a mansion in the Pirogovo yacht club near Moscow, and several houses in Gelendzhik. In addition, the wife of the Minister of Industry, Natalya, owns the Lancet network of aesthetic medicine clinics, and his 84-year-old mother-in-law, Alla Kisel, owns a dairy farm in the Tver region.

Guests of political talk shows on Russian TV were instructed not to mention Wagner PMC and its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin too often. Political scientist Sergei Markov, a frequent guest of such programs, told The New York Times about this. As Markov clarifies, the instruction not to promote Prigozhin appeared in the last few weeks. Who specifically demanded not to promote Prigozhin, Markov did not specify. The leaked document says that when covering the fighting in the Donetsk direction (including Bakhmut), “it is necessary to completely abandon the mention of PMC Wagner and its head Yevgeny Prigozhin”, do not quote his statements, and call Wagner fighters “volunteers” “or” Russian troops. In recent months, Prigozhin’s popularity has skyrocketed. And this confuses the Russian elite. Prigozhin himself, in an interview published on Friday with the WarGonzo project, said that he had “zero political ambitions.”
