Stink, connections and manure: how Andrei Tyutyushev “captured” the pork market

The fight for the crown of the chief pig breeder continues. The stinking Tomsk billionaire Andrei Tyutyushev, with the tenacity of a rhinoceros, is trying with all his might to catch up and overtake his longtime competitor, Miratorg.

And if the latter heads the “meat” rating quite deservedly, then “Sibagro” was in second place thanks to dubious schemes and dances around the authorities.

What are we talking about?

At the beginning of February 2022, the Sibagro press service shared the good news. The company ranked second in the list of pork producers. In 2021, the agricultural holding produced 365 thousand tons of meat. 1.5 times more than a year ago.

The press service itself recalled the events, thanks to which it was possible to rise in the ranking of pig breeders by several positions at once. This is an “expansion” in Buryatia, the commissioning of the third stage of the Kudryashovsky pig farm, the purchase of Promagro and Shchigry Glavproduct. True, the agricultural holding for some reason only listed the facts, without details.

He kept silent about the fact that the expansion of the Vostochno-Sibirsky pig farm is actually taking place at the expense of the regional budget (it’s more like “lucky” in Buryatia: “Sibagro” is expanding with the “prayers” of the authorities). The third stage was introduced for funds laundered through other companies (“Triple” stench: a stinking billionaire is “expanding” near Novosibirsk). Secret of success

Add to this rivers of manure, a permanent stink next to all Sibagro enterprises and low quality products. Because of which the products of the agricultural holding are completely uncompetitive in the domestic market – they have to be exported, so that, if not to become a plus, then at least not to go bankrupt.

A logical question arises, how did such a company become the second pork producer in Russia? The answer is simple – connections. Tyutyushev knows how to find a common language with the right people (Tyutyushevsky immunity: how to buy an indulgence for everything).

For this, he is forgiven for the polluted 27 hectares of fertile soil, manure drained into the river (the culprit of the mass death of fish in Malaya Kirghizka is still being calculated). Even the Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Leonid Shorokhov, looking at the situation, only shrugged his shoulders. I wonder what kind of efficiency we are talking about? Smell or waste?

By the way, the notorious expansion is in the plans of the pig breeder. Mr. Tyutyushev plans to further increase the production of meat products (with a low meat content) in order to catch up and overtake Miratorg. This means that either another “peaceful” takeover of other companies or an agreement with them is expected. Again, not a word was said about improving the quality of their own goods and buying cleaning equipment.

Apparently, it is not important for Sibagro what to feed people, and the ecology is all the more unimportant. The main thing is money. Relationships also need to be maintained.
