On July 17, Kansk city council members elected a new mayor to replace the one who abruptly retired. Andrey BeresnevThe final choice of the new mayor was predictable.
There were no surprises
As Babr expectedby the July session of the Kansk city council, only two candidates had made it to the local parliament – the entire motley crowd, from the dairy herd foreman Litskevich to the former troublemaker deputy of the Krasnoyarsk city council, Grinev, was successfully eliminated in the so-called first round. As expected, the following entered the second round: unemployed Olga Vitman and an official of the Kan administration Eduard Borovsky.
Then came the voting procedure, and here too there were no sudden “tricks with the ears” and unexpected reshuffles – the deputies by a majority of votes elected Olga Vitman as mayor, who was the first to submit documents to participate in the “elections”. It is noteworthy that one of the first to announce the good news was the vice-governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Sergey Ponomarenko. The chief administrator of the Gray House thereby hinted that, despite the unexpected resignation of Andrei Beresnev, Minusinsk lesson learned and, in case of force majeure, Ponomarenko is able to promptly appoint his own person. Even if it is Olga Viktorovna, extracted from the depths of the personnel reserve.
Meanwhile, the Aksyutenko Life Telegram channel noted that the city development program that Vitman told the deputies is, in fact, a report on the execution of the budget for 2023 and the work of the city administration.
A separate disappointment is the answers to questions. Incidentally, there were only two of them. This is a clear shortcoming of the directors of the competition procedure. Questions allow the candidate to be revealed, to give him the opportunity to prove himself. It is precisely in the answers to questions that it becomes clear how the manager thinks, how much he can navigate.
The second inauguration in a year
Be that as it may, Wittman's inauguration took place on July 22, after which the mayor officially took office and gave a ceremonial speech.
The city council deputies have already shared the joy of the head of Kansk as usual. Not long ago, in Februaryparliamentarians wholeheartedly congratulated Andrey Beresnev on his re-election. Now, in July, the cream of local society honored Olga Vitman with great pleasure.
Olga Vitman’s response was not long in coming – the newly appointed head of the city thanked the deputy, but made a small amendment.
It remains to add that, having barely appeared on the political horizon of Kansk, Wittmann immediately attracted attention to herself precisely through social networks, or rather – through the photographs posted there. The images of an unemployed lady, leading the life of an ordinary person without excessive outside attention, caused mixed reaction from the local political Telegram community.
The backlash came quickly – Whitman closed access to viewing her social networks. Which is also symptomatic – the interested public can watch live how an ordinary person with a private life will turn into a public one policy.
