State Duma deputy Anatoly Aksakov I am sure that Russians care little about the exchange rate and are generally happy. This hardly applies to the sons of a parliamentarian, who are mentioned in American reference books as residents of elite skyscrapers and mansions in New York.
What did Aksakov say?
This was said against the background of the fall of the ruble and its renewal of lows since last year’s spring. Judging by the comments on social networks, the deputy’s statement caused bewilderment.

Anatoly Aksakov comes from the Bashkir village of Ermolaevo. After school, he briefly worked as a mechanic at a Crimean state farm and as a worker at a Kiev pharmaceutical plant. What Aksakov did at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s is unknown, but on the eve of perestroika, he ended up in Moscow, where he graduated from the economics department of Moscow State University. His mother is an economist by profession.
In student circles, Aksakov met the daughter of the chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Chuvash ASSR. Soon the couple got married, and the future deputy went to make a career in Chuvashia. In 1986–1999, he taught political economy at a local university, was elected to the republican State Council, headed the Cheboksary branches of Moscow commercial banks, and headed the regional Ministry of Finance. Then Aksakov became a State Duma deputy, which he still has been for 25 years in a row (from III to VIII convocation). Since the end of the 2000s, he has been a member of the Just Russia party.
How does the MP’s family live?
According to property and income reports, the year before last, Anatoly Aksakov earned eight million rubles, rented a three-ruble note in Moscow, owned six acres with a tiny house in the Crimea, a spacious apartment in Cheboksary, and also a budget Volkswagen Tiguan crossover. Interestingly, his wife disappeared from his last declaration, while she continues to be listed as a co-owner of family property. Judging by all the available declarations of the couple, in 2006-2022 they got rich by 72.5 million rubles.
In Cheboksary on Aksakov, his wife and two adult sons, a four-room apartment in a modern five-story brick building overlooking the Volga and coniferous forest is decorated. The price is from 15 million rubles.

Formally, the Aksakovs never had their own housing in Moscow, so for a long time the family used a service apartment in the famous “Deputy’s House” on Olof Palme Street near the Mosfilmovsky Pond and the Setun River Valley – it is equipped as a hotel, from the apartment there you can go to a common long balcony and sunbathe on the rooftops. Several years ago, judging by the declarations, Aksakov moved to some kind of rented accommodation. However, in another apartment of the deputies’ house, half the size, at least until the SVO, his youngest 33-year-old son remained to live Alexander.

The younger heir to the deputy also has another metropolitan housing – an apartment of 175 square meters in the club residential complex “Sporthouse” at a cost of about a quarter of a billion rubles. Probably, recently it was not he himself who lived there, but his mother (wife of Anatoly Aksakov). We are talking about luxury real estate in the prestigious Khamovniki. An ultra-modern facade, stone-trimmed entrances, huge terraces and panoramic windows, 24-hour security, a landscaped park in a fenced area. Inside is a sports complex with a swimming pool and a solarium, a tennis club, a billiard room, a massage room and a beauty salon. Close to Gorky Park, Neskuchny Garden and Vorobyovy Gory.

The eldest son of the deputy, 36-year-old Dmitry there is a living space of 174 square meters in a high-rise business class LCD “Elena” on Vernadsky Prospekt near the South-Western Forest Park. In addition to the improved layout, the house boasts security and reception at every entrance. The price is up to 80 million rubles. The area is famous for its good ecology and infrastructure. Near the German school at the Embassy of Germany, the Lyceum of the Academy under the President of the Russian Federation, MGIMO, RANEPA and PFUR.

It is not clear to whom the family dacha in the elite village of Polyanka near Moscow on Novorizhskoye Highway was registered. Judging by the telephone databases, the deputy’s wife and his eldest son lived there until recently. But now this mansion is up for sale, Life found the corresponding ad on specialized portals. The area of the house is 480 square meters, the garage with rooms for servants is 130 square meters, the plot is 29 acres, there is a pool with hydromassage in the basement, the price is 100 million rubles.

None of the members of the family of deputy Anatoly Aksakov is currently engaged in business. Their companies, Triple A (AAA) and Faith, specialized in business consulting, but both were abandoned and disbanded by the fiscals as inactive.
