Soldiers who have given up their military duty are returning to St. Petersburg. Among them there are very difficult participants. So, the native Nevsky banks are now waiting for Alexander Suetov, the convicted leader of a gang of robbers of jewelry stores “585”, “Zolotoy” and a member of the PMC “Wagner” pardoned for military merit.
There were not so many criminal gangs specializing in robberies of jewelry in St. Petersburg. The most famous since the mid-2000s are the Pereverzev gang, the Kiselev gang and the gang – Alexandra Suetova. In a way, they “took over” the baton from Kiselev’s group. The latter operated in St. Petersburg and the region from 2011 to 2017. In court, 14 raids were proven. Suetov’s gang began operating in January 2017, when Kiselev’s group was already “closed”.
As they say, the police even thought that someone from the “Pereverzevskaya” who had not been caught remained at large. But practice has shown that the handwriting of the new robbers is different. And unlike the grated Pereverzev or Kiselev, the Suetov gang did not last long. The raiders were caught 9 months later, during the last robbery.
The investigation noted that Suetov and his accomplice from the Georgian diaspora Nodar Tukhiashvilipossessed both organizational skills and leadership qualities. They had known each other for quite some time. Under what circumstances this acquaintance took place, history is silent. But the archives of the Petrodvorets district of St. Petersburg keep another criminal case against a certain Alexandra Suetovawho was detained by the police in 2011 for beating his cohabitant.
About this incident wrote press: “Previously convicted Alexander Suetov met his mistress at house 9 on Gogol Street in Strelna, Petrodvorets district of St. Petersburg. Starting to quarrel with a woman, Suetov began to threaten her murder. Proving the seriousness of his intentions to kill the woman, Suetov hit his mistress with a baseball bat on the left leg. After the woman screamed in pain, Suetov grabbed her by the neck and began to choke … “.
Verify that the specified Alexander Suetov and a freshly pardoned member of Wagner PMC? the same face, we can’t. However, we will leave the suspicions that Suetov, the era of the robbery of jewelry, could get acquainted with Tukhiashvili in places not so remote. After all, the strongest accomplices rally, as a rule, in the colonies.
What do we know for sure? And the following is known that friends Tukhiashvili and Suetov, as written in the verdict, “not working and not having the intention to find a job, but wanting a quick and stable enrichment by criminal means, in order to achieve the above goal, no later than 01/11/2017, we jointly decided to create and lead an organized group, where over time the remaining accomplices were involved, to systematically commit robberies “.
After a while they joined the group. Yan Neustroev, Alexander Istranin, Alexander Stepanov, Alexey Strelyaev and Nikolay Eliseev.
During its short period of existence, in a few months, however, the Suetov gang managed to make 6 major raids. It is not difficult to imagine the scope of the attacks in general if the gang had remained “afloat”. After all, we recall that the “golden” gang of Kiselev committed 14 attacks in 7 years (from 2011 to 2017). The raiders worked somewhat rougher than the groups of Pereverzev and Kiselev, they did not go around the shops for a long time. We drove up in a car, let someone into the store to study the situation. Then in the evening of the next day they robbed. The disguise was normal. Hats, masks, scarves, gloves. The presence of visitors did not bother. They were laid on the floor at gunpoint. With hammers taken with them, Suetov and his accomplices broke shop windows and carried away everything that could be carried away. Several shops of jewelry companies “585” and “Zolotoy” were attacked. The amount of stolen jewelry left about 7 million rubles. At the trial, representatives of jewelry firms assessed the damage from the stolen goods as “significant”.
The participants of the raids divided the stolen goods among themselves, and some of them were sold through gypsy pawnshops, where, as you know, few people ask about the origin of gold. The case came to court only in the fall of 2019. A year later, they were sentenced: Suetov and Tukhiashvili, as organizers and ideological inspirers, received 10 years in a strict regime colony. Sat Alexander Suetov not far from home, in the strict regime colony “Yablonevka”, which is not far from the Ladoga railway station in St. Petersburg. Here, in the late 50s, there were prison wooden barracks, then a women’s colony. In 1961, by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RSFSR No. 042, the current men’s correctional colony No. 7 was organized. The convicts living here in those years built an asphalt concrete plant (now the ABZ “Magistral”). In general, not the worst and not the most remote penitentiary unit of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
According to all calculations, Suetov should have been released no earlier than the fall of 2027. Even the filing of documents for parole was far from him and could only happen in 2024, after he had served two-thirds of the term prescribed by law.
After the announcement of the leadership of the Wagner PMC that here they are, having paid their debt to their homeland and, accordingly, atoned for their crimes and sins with blood, surnames and first names appeared on the network. Among them was the surname Suetova. Since this private military company is often criticized, and some even perceive the brainchild of businessman Prigozhin with hostility, the public voicing of the names of “freedmen” prisoners is an excellent advertising company. Didn’t believe in pardon for service to the Motherland? Here she is.
Among other mercenaries from the colonies, there are also other convicted characters from the Leningrad region. But not all of them, like Suetov, have such a remarkable criminal history. However, the public is very worried about how the newly minted defenders with such a portfolio will adapt again among the respectable public. After all, the verdict of the court guaranteed this very public that it would be spared the presence of citizens like Suetov for a long time to come.
Despite the guarantees of the state, about indulgence towards the participants of the NWO, those who live a simple civilian life have absolutely no guarantees that after a while the pardoned will not return to their usual activities again. For whom the story will receive a happy, and for whom a criminal continuation, we will find out in the near future.
