Last night, unmanned aerial vehicles attacked the Afipsky and Ilsky oil refineries in the Krasnodar Territory. In the first case, a fuel oil processing unit caught fire, in the second, the fire was avoided. Air attacks on infrastructure facilities in the region began on February 28, when the Rosneft oil depot in Tuapse was hit. In May, the intensity of UAV raids increased significantly, the Afipsky and Ilsky oil refineries, as well as the Tamanneftegaz oil base, became the targets of the attack. In addition, on May 26, two drones exploded in Krasnodar near a mobile communications tower.
In the Krasnodar Territory, the consequences of a night UAV attack on the territory of the Afipsky and Ilsky refineries are being eliminated. According to the operational headquarters of the region, there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
According to Kommersant, the fall of a drone at a plant in the village of Afipsky (owner – Afipsky Oil Refinery LLC, Safmar Group of Companies Mikhail Gutseriev) occurred at 3:01. As a result, the PM-3 oil refining unit was damaged, a fire broke out in an area of 100 square meters. m. At 3:44 the fire was extinguished. There were 200 workers on the territory of the refinery in the morning, evacuation was not carried out.
The UAV fell on the territory of the Ilsky Oil Refinery (owned by LLC KNGK-INPZ) at 3:20. As a result of the fall, the UAV crashed, there was no fire. The infrastructure of the plant was not damaged, the property of the Ilsky refinery was not damaged. At 9:20 am, the fallen object was destroyed by explosives. There are 128 employees on the territory of the plant. Both scenes are being investigated by law enforcement and emergency services.
Infrastructure facilities in the Krasnodar Territory have repeatedly become the target of drone attacks.
The first incident happened on February 28, when a fire broke out in an outbuilding on the territory of the Rosneft-Kubannefteprodukt oil depot in Tuapse. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed that a drone, which was launched from the territory of Ukraine, fell on the territory of the facility. According to the military department, the device lost control and did not harm the infrastructure facility.
In May, the intensity of UAV raids on the territory of the region increased significantly: on May 3, in the village of Volna, a tank with oil products owned by Tamanneftegaz caught fire, the fire area was 1.2 thousand square meters. m.
On May 4, at the Ilsky oil refinery, an oil tank burned on an area of 400 square meters. m, the next day the attack on the plant was repeated, the fire area was 60 square meters. m. Last Sunday, May 28, the Ilsky Oil Refinery was again attacked from the air – several UAVs approached the territory of the Oil Refinery and were neutralized. There was no damage to the infrastructure of the refinery, the resulting smoke was eliminated by the plant’s duty services, there were no casualties.
Another incident related to the arrival of a UAV happened on May 26 in Krasnodar: two explosions occurred in the area of the MTS mobile communication tower at night. Windows were shattered in a residential five-story building. According to the telecommunications company, as a result of the incident, part of the roof of the building was slightly damaged, MTS employees and infrastructure were not injured.
