Kostomarov announced his readiness to personally test new domestic prostheses
Roman Kostomarov will help the domestic enterprise test prostheses . He stated this at an exhibition in Sochi.
Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov and his wife Oksana Domnina visited the Biotechmed exhibition in Sochi. There the athlete got acquainted with prosthetics Russian production and declared his readiness to cooperate with one of the manufacturers.
Roman Kostomarov is ready to personally test new domestic prosthetic feet, as he clarified in an interview. “We will test the feet for better walking,” commented Kostomarov.
The group of companies “Salut Orto” is counting on the athlete’s help. As its director Ivan Khudyakov noted, the manufacturer plans to expand research into the practical use of prostheses. They offer skaters to try out models that can be used in various sports.
Roman Kostomarov was put into a medically induced coma in early January after being hospitalized. During treatment, he was connected to ventilators and ECMO. Due to the development of sepsis, the athlete was forced to amputate both feet and hands.
Kostomarov managed to defeat the disease. Now he is undergoing rehabilitation and at the same time actively involved in sports. This includes running, swimming, and various physical activities on machines and sports equipment. Roman Kostomarov constantly shows on his social networks how his training is going.
