“Yes, indeed, the Okko production center turned to us through an intermediary Andrei Khabarov so that we would ensure the filming of the first part of the series about Chikatilo, which, by the way, was successfully released,” Mr. Bolshakov explained in an interview with Kommersant, adding that the second part of the series due to the criminal case “will be filmed without us.” According to the producer, he wrote many letters to all possible authorities, so that “we could agree on the time and date of permission to film in those areas and on those streets that were listed in the script.” However, Mr. Bolshakov emphasized, “the solid bureaucracy turned its back on us, although we called various officials, explained the situation that we were ready to transfer money by bank transfer for each shooting day, but no one cared about us.”
“And then, in order to get out of this situation, I turned to the police for help,” the entrepreneur explained, adding that the law enforcement officers themselves named the price depending on the number of people and cars involved in filming a particular scene. “I called these amounts to Khabarov, he received the money in the center and handed it over to me, and I to the policemen,” Mr. Bolshakov emphasized. — Inset K.ru

@sarik_andreasyan, 08/29/2022: Friends! Today my phone is torn, as the telegram channels began to write that the producer of the Chikatilo series was put in jail for giving the police a hand in order to film the series on some street.
Firstly, the producers of “Chikatilo” in this photo! The series has no other producers! At first, the information was that Dmitry Bolshakov was a location manager, but this info did not work, and then Mash began to write that he was a producer. Our location manager was Sergey Nekrasov, and the executive producer was Artem Sudzhyan. We have never seen any Dmitry Bolshakov and have no idea who he is. — Inset K.ru
