In St. Petersburg, a driver in a Porsche Cayenne rammed seven cars while avoiding a GTA-style police chase.
A mass accident was caught on video, footage from the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region was shown by the Fontanka publication.
The video that appeared shows how the Russian is trying to break away from the police in the yards. On the footage, the driver is given a signal to stop, but he presses on the gas and dives into the “pocket”. At high speed, he hits seven cars at once, then drives back onto the roadway of Irinovsky Prospekt and tries to slip between two Mercedes. One of the foreign cars is in the left lane, Porsche touches it on a tangent, and the Gelendvagen throws it at a public transport stop.
Later, law enforcement officers said that the pedestrians were not injured, and the Gelendvagen driver was hospitalized with injuries. A 22-year-old young man turned out to be a scorcher in a Porsche. According to the Interior Ministry, he had clear signs of drug intoxication. On the seat next to his car lay white powder and a black balaclava. The guy was transporting 0.15 grams of the drug. The man was taken to the police station.
On January 19, it was reported that on the 2nd kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road, a truck driver rammed two cars and died. The cars that were damaged were Kia and Volvo taxis. After the accident, traffic on the section of the road near the accident was difficult.
