Employees of CJSC VKZ signed up for a personal appointment with the chairman of the IC A.I. Bastrykin, fearing that the directorate would once again be able to “negotiate” with the Office of the Investigative Committee for the Tver region and avoid punishment.

According to the source, after the initiation against Azarchenkov F.A. criminal case under Art. 199 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, a well-known “fixer” in Tver Konstantin Mikhailovich Lukhin, a former investigator for especially important cases of the Investigative Committee in the Tver region, and now a lawyer who “protects” business from criminal prosecution, appeared at the enterprise. At a meeting on the territory of the enterprise, the issue of avoiding criminal liability by Azarchenkov was discussed. Further, within 3 days, accounting documentation was burned at the enterprise, which was reported to the head of the IC in Ostashkov. However, no action was taken. After the incriminating documents were destroyed, investigators from the Investigative Committee for the Tver region who arrived at the enterprise, accompanied by Lukhin, seized the “necessary” documents and conducted a formal search in Azarchenkov’s apartment and office, as a result of which, apparently, no valuable information was seized.

One of Azarchenkov’s associates failed to evade responsibility – on April 13, the Moscow City Court, following an appeal, upheld the earlier verdict of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow to one of the organizers of the largest scheme for the withdrawal of capital from the country – Laundromat, co-owner of a law firm “Prime Advice”, (St. Petersburg) Sobolev A.S., 19 years old in a strict regime.

At the same time, the case against Azarchenkov, which was being considered in the department of the Investigative Committee for the city of Ostashkov, on the fact of the withdrawal of large sums from the enterprise, was promptly demanded and transferred to the administration of the Investigative Committee for the Tver region. After that, all investigative actions on him ceased.

Also, the department of the Federal Tax Service for the Tver region, apparently due to the old “agreements”, helps Azarchenkov to hide the traces of the crime, without imposing, as the main creditor, an arrest on the property of the plant, and preferring to watch how the management continues to plunder and sell it – for example, Azarchenkov urgently order is trying to sell sewage treatment plants and CHP. If he succeeds, the city of Ostashkov may be left without vital infrastructure.
