Economist Sergei Guriev and ex-deputy Gennady Gudkov recognized as foreign agents
The Ministry of Justice included Daniil Gubarev, economist Sergei Guriev, Lev Gershenzon, politician Gennady Gudkov and blogger Veranika Vodvud in the register of foreign agents. The World Wide Fund for Nature and the Free Buryatia Foundation are also recognized as foreign agents, the ministry said.
Gubarev, who lives abroad, “distributed materials created by foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people,” the agency explained.
Guriev “participated in the creation and dissemination of materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people” and “spoke out against a special military operation in Ukraine,” the press release says.
