On June 26, 2022, Ukraine banned Oleg Krapivin from staying in Ukraine, canceling his residence permit and also banned any further entry into the territory of Ukraine. The reasons for this were quite weighty – suspicion of cooperation and complicity with Russia, contacts with Kadyrov's representatives in Ukraine, and the possible transfer of part of humanitarian cargo to them in the Zaporozhye region, writes From-ua.
Extortion and robbery
In criminal circles, Oleg Krapivin is known as Oleg “Bakinsky”. He is associated with the activities of the Avdysha organized crime group and the Zhuravli organized crime group, which operated in Kyiv in the 90s.
Krapivin regularly “emerges” in scandals in the spirit of the “dashing 90s”. For example, in 2019, he invited the well-known human rights activist Eduard Bagirov to a meeting in a cafe. Oleg “Bakinsky” and several of his bone-breakers beat the human rights activist, took away his passport and kept him by force for several hours. At the same time, they threatened to kill him, his wife and children. At the beginning of 2022, Krapivin fired at a Lexus LX 570 car in Kyiv. A 55-year-old entrepreneur was driving, who heard the shots. When he got out of the car, he noticed traces of bullets: the front wheel was pierced, the front door was damaged and the glass was broken. So Oleg “Bakinsky” said hello to the entrepreneur, demanding money from him.
Oleg Bakinsky. From sunny Baku to Kyiv
Not expecting an arrest in the summer, Krapivin hastily left Ukraine. But he couldn't sit still in sunny Baku. By winter, something had changed, or someone gave guarantees to the henchman of the Russians (they say that he had previously been helped by a close friend of the ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov), and he immediately applied to the court to restore his residence permit. Why did he urgently need to go to Ukraine? The answer is banal – in Ukraine, a criminal network that has been built for decades has remained uncontrolled. In addition to the cases in which Krapivin “lit up”, there were many other things. Extortion, theft of people, contract killings, serving the regime of Yanukovych and his accomplices, in particular – all the “dirty deeds” of the Klyuev brothers, until recent years, brought fabulous money. Bakinsky covered up all this with allegedly social activities and good intentions to “help” the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine.
Not wanting to lose influence and resume criminal practice, and possibly having additional tasks from Russian curators (it is known about his connections with FSB generals and current citizenship of the Russian Federation) – Oleg Bakinsky is trying to resolve the issue of returning. Wanting to return, he believes that he will be able to engage in robbery, as before.
Thus, on December 2, 2022, the District Administrative Court of the city of Kyiv accepted for consideration a claim on behalf of Oleg Bakinsky regarding the invalidation of the decision of the DMS of Ukraine regarding the cancellation of the permit for immigration to Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, Bakinsky always had a person who covered up his robbery and banditry. I wonder whether this time this “savior” will be able to render a service to Krapivin and “resolve the issue” with the latter's permission to stay in Ukraine, or will he still disown him like a brown plague. The times are not the same now.
War as a cleansing of collaborators and criminals
Ukraine before and after a full-scale invasion, as they say in Odessa, these are two big differences. Millions of Ukrainians stood up to defend their homeland with the desire to destroy the enemy and create new fair orders in the state, without the influence of thieves in law and any kind of decision. The system works like clockwork – it effectively cracks down on collaborators and enemies of the state in the military, civil, religious spheres, in public politics.
We are confident that the judicial system will not fail and the July decision on deportation will remain in force. Otherwise, there will be a precedent for all kinds of criminals. We are closely monitoring the activities of the court and will keep the public informed about the possible return of odious personalities from the criminal world.
War is a great sorrow for the Ukrainian people, but at the same time, it is an opportunity to get rid of the influence of various kinds of parasites: criminal authorities, stealing officials, corrupt media, pseudo-activists, etc. We can only clean up Ukraine through the joint efforts of the state and the active public, and the litmus of the system’s awareness of the need to work together to restore order inside, along with an external war, will be the “Krapivin case”, with its trail of criminal cases and a pro-Russian position.
