TV channel “Rain” (stopped his work in Russia) received a broadcasting license in Latvia.
This was announced by the creative producer of the channel Anna Mongait in her Telegram-channel. However, the post was later removed.
“And now the NEWS! Rain received a broadcasting license in Latvia. Do you understand, yes? — stated in the message Mongait.
This information confirms and the National Electronic Media Council (NEPLP, NCESMI). According to him, the broadcasting of “Rain” will resume from Latvia on June 9. As the head of the NEPLP, Ivars Abolins, explained, negotiations on this were carried out for almost three months.
Earlier today NEPLP banned broadcast in the country 80 remaining Russian TV channels. The decision was made in connection with the new legislative norm of Latvia.
