Died senator from the Tula region
Senator from the Tula region Igor Panchenko died at the age of 60.
This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the apparatus of the Federation Council.
The interlocutor of the agency in the upper house of parliament said that Panchenko had recently had health problems.
The cause of the senator’s death is not known.
Panchenko was appointed to the post of senator from the region in 2019. Prior to that, he was a deputy of the regional Duma, as well as the chairman of the regional legislative assembly.
Igor Panchenko was awarded the title of Honored Mechanical Engineer of the Russian Federation and the Order of Honor.
