A court in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug considered the case of a local resident, Ivan Chistyakov, who stabbed two people with a knife. The man was sentenced to a real term, taking into account extenuating circumstances – one of these circumstances was the statements of the victims, expressing a negative assessment of the special military operation. Previously, the victims were fined for discrediting the army.
The judge of the Raduzhninsk City Court of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, Natalia Studenikina, sentenced local resident Ivan Chistyakov to two years and four months in a general regime colony, who stabbed two acquaintances with a knife for criticizing the special military operation (SVO). The verdict was announced on May 16. The man was found guilty of intentionally inflicting light and grievous bodily harm with the use of weapons under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 115, paragraph “z” part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the materials of the case posted on the website of the court, on the evening of October 18, 2022, a group of men drank alcohol. During the conversation, two of them – Vadim Bubnov and Sergey Sergeev – began to “speak rudely about the holding of the NWO.” In particular, they expressed their disagreement with the decision to bring Russian armed forces into the territory of Donbass in 2022, as well as regret over the deaths of civilians. Mr. Sergeev shouted out Ukrainian slogans, and Mr. Bubnov allowed the outcome of the NMD to be unfavorable for Russia. It was after this that Ivan Chistyakov took a utility knife from the table and inflicted several blows to the head and lower back of Sergey Sergeyev (the court assessed the damage to health as light), and then to Vadim Bubnov in the chest, shoulder and thigh (according to the court, he caused serious bodily harm). ).
At the hearing, Ivan Chistyakov admitted his guilt and repented. When passing the sentence, the court took into account the presence of a minor child, the presence of a dependent minor child with a disability and a father with a disability of the first group. Another mitigating circumstance, the court considered the “wrongfulness of behavior” of the victims, who “publicly discredited the use of the RF Armed Forces during a special military operation,” which was the reason for the commission of crimes by Ivan Chistyakov. It should be noted that at the end of November 2022, Sergey Sergeyev and Vadim Bubnov were found guilty by the Raduzhninsky City Court under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the RF Armed Forces). They were fined 30,000 rubles. to each. According to the case file, they pleaded not guilty.
