Corruption schemes for 961 million were uncovered in Rosseti Tyumen

JSC Rosseti Tyumen (part of PJSC Rosseti) recorded an increase in attempts to steal and use corruption schemes within the company. Information about this is provided in the company’s report for 2022.

As follows from the document, last year Rosseti Tyumen significantly increased control over internal security. Thus, the number of verification activities in the field of financial and economic activities was increased by 19%, and anti-corruption analysis of procurement procedures – by 2%. As a result of the work carried out, the report says, it was possible to prevent material damage for 961 million rubles. The amount is unprecedented: in 2020 and 2021 it was just over 600 million rubles.

Recall that Rosseti Tyumen has recently undergone a whole series of major corruption scandals involving top managers of the company.

So the former general director of Rosseti Tyumen, Oleg Petrov, was detained in 2022. He became a defendant in a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Assignment or waste”. According to the FSB, the defendant stole the funds of PJSC Tomsk Distribution Company. The damage was estimated at 9 million rubles. However, the case was closed in March 2023 due to the death of the accused.

In parallel, three senior employees of the “daughter” of “Rosseti” also became defendants in corruption cases. In June 2023, the prosecutor’s office approved the indictment against the former director of the Tyumen Electric Networks branch of JSC Rosseti Tyumen, Kirill Streltsov. He is charged under s. “a”, “c” part 5, part 6 art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Receiving a bribe by a group of persons by prior agreement, on a large and especially large scale.”

In addition to Streltsov, the defendants in the criminal case on corruption in Rosseti Tyumen are two more employees of the company – Nikita Kalinin, deputy director of the branch for the development and sale of services of JSC Rosseti Tyumen, and. about the deputy head of the branch of JSC Rosseti Tyumen Pavel Mikhailov. Their criminal cases have been separated into separate proceedings and have already been sent to court.
