The Moscow Garrison Military Court sent Major General Konstantin Ogienko to a pre-trial detention center on charges of bribery, Kommersant reports. When exactly this happened is not specified. According to the newspaper, his arrest was recently extended until November 27.
Ogiyenko, as reported by the publication, until recently commanded the 1st army of air and missile defense for special purposes. She performs tasks to protect Moscow from attacks by aircraft, cruise missiles, warheads of intercontinental ballistic missiles of a potential enemy. The troops are equipped with two systems: the S-50M air defense system of Moscow (the Baikal-1, Universal-1, S-400, S-300PM2, Pantsir-S complexes) and the A-135M strategic missile defense system of Moscow.
According to investigators, Ogiyenko received a bribe for allocating defense lands to the Nadezhda civil organization. According to the case file, its head (the name of the woman is not given) collected money from a number of organizations and citizens, promising them land plots in the near Moscow region. Then she transferred 500 thousand rubles through an intermediary. commander of the 4th Air Defense Division, Major General Dmitry Belyatsky, who acted on behalf of Ogienko. The publication notes that this amount is part of the 30 million rubles for which the military promised to allocate land for development, including in Dolgoprudny and Lobnya.
A criminal case was opened under Part 5 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code (giving a bribe on an especially large scale) and part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code (bribery on an especially large scale). The investigation was started by the military investigation department of the Investigative Committee for Moscow, then it was transferred to the Main Military Investigation Department.
