Mitvol pleaded guilty in the case of embezzlement of 900 million rubles allocated for the metro
Former deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor Oleg Mitvol pleaded guilty to embezzlement of 900 million rubles allocated for the construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk.
The case will be considered in a special order. It has already been submitted to the Railway Court of the city.
Mitvol is accused of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 (“Fraud on an especially large scale”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He faces up to ten years in prison.
According to investigators, in 2019 the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the KrasnoyarskTISIZ company founded by Mitvol signed a contract to adjust the design and estimate documentation for the construction of the metro. However, the contractor did not fulfill the conditions and provided fictitious documents.
The detention of Mitvol became known on June 10, 2022. On the same day, he concluded a pre-trial agreement with the investigation.
