Law enforcers informed ex-people's deputy, businessman Dmytro Svyatash about suspicion of encroaching on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“Investigators of the Kyiv Police Investigation Department, together with employees of the Security Service of Ukraine under the procedural leadership of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, exposed a 51-year-old native of Kharkov, a former people’s deputy of Ukraine and a businessman who published calls on his social network page to change the state border of Ukraine and justify the military aggression of the Russian Federation against our country,” the police report.

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a period of three to five years.
According to the investigation, in August 2022, the former people's representative published a post on his official page on the social network with public calls to support the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, to glorify the aggressor state and its actions to occupy the territories of Ukraine.
In the message, he claimed that the Ukrainian population in the occupied territories had a positive attitude towards the Russians, repeated Russian propaganda about allegedly providing residents with systematic humanitarian assistance, restoring destroyed settlements and introducing Russian social security standards, the prosecutor's office indicates.
In addition, the ex-people's deputy convinced residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kharkiv regions of the possibility of writing off credit debts. To do this, they need to show their citizenship and obtain Russian passports.
According to reports, Svyatash is hiding in Russia. He is on the interstate wanted list.
The prosecutor's office reminds that earlier the ex-people's deputy was informed of the suspicion of illegal alienation of more than 200 real estate objects and corporate rights of three companies in order to further legalize this property.
