This was announced in Telegram by the Chairman of the Committee Daniil Getmantsev.

“The Committee decided to recommend to the Verkhovna Rada to appoint Anatoliy Barsukov as a member of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine,” the People’s Deputy wrote.

As Yaroslav Zheleznyak, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, clarified, from April 2014 to 2021, Anatoly Barsukov was Deputy Chairman of the Board of the state-owned Oschadbank.

In 2014-2020, Oschadbank was headed by the current head of the NBU, Andriy Pyshny.

At the same time, the NBU Council consists of nine members:

As stated on the NBU website, now the NBU Council has 7 members: Bogdan Danylyshyn, Vasily Furman, Mykola Kalensky, Igor Veremiy (according to the President's quota), Viktor Koziuk, Vasily Horbal (according to the quota of the Verkhovna Rada), Andriy Pyshny (as head NBU).

At a meeting on November 14, 2019, members of the NBU Council elected Bogdan Danylyshyn as chairman for the second time.
