A note from Zhirinovsky calling for the abandonment of the dollar was made public
Vice Speaker of the State Duma from the LDPR Boris Chernyshov published a note from party founder Vladimir Zhirinovsky calling on him to abandon the dollar.
It was posted on his Telegram channel.
Chernyshov noted that this text by Zhirinovsky had not been published anywhere before.
In the note, the former leader of the LDPR called on Russia to abandon the American currency against the backdrop of the rising dollar in 2018, the State Duma vice speaker explained. “In light of current events, this advice is relevant and logical,” Chernyshov said.
Zhirinovsky left this message in the summer of 2018, when the dollar continued to rise – from 56.7 rubles in January to 66 rubles in August.
“What to do? 1) Refusal from the dollar. 2) Dissolve all international organizations. Let there be again a League of Nations in Europe, an OAS in America, an OAU in Africa, etc. Let them all be translated into national currencies and languages,” the founder of the LDPR then proposed.
Now events are developing exactly according to the scenario that Zhirinovsky assumed – Russia is gradually moving towards abandoning the dollar, while there are enough alternatives as a currency for international trade, Chernyshov emphasized.
