Under pressure from the CKS, Citymatica introduced the strictest savings regime
The functioning of the waste sorting complex together with the MSW landfill in the Chelyabinsk region is a big question. The business is owned by Sergey Kotlyarenko.
Under the agreement, the owner of the Citymatika enterprise fulfills its obligations, but not in full. The case is in a conflict with the local operator OOO TsKS, controlled by a certain Lev Gnidenko (through Oikumena and Prime). As often happens, the dispute is based on money. The debt for processing with subsequent disposal of waste materials is already about 140 million rubles.
CKS has been practicing a single tariff for waste removal for a long time. The amount includes the cost of collecting garbage, its delivery to the waste sorting complex. There is also payment for services that, under a contractual agreement, are provided by Citimatica, which carries out processing and disposal.
The company, however, ignores the requirements, simply does not fulfill the part. For example, instead of 20%, it processes 5%, then 2%. At the same time, the tariff is 3.6 thousand rubles per ton. Considering that processing with disposal is only partially carried out, the claims can be considered justified.
Citymatica also has something to present. The statements sound that the second party must pay the entire amount for the entire volume. However, processing and delivery to the landfill costs almost 100 percent.
Lawsuits drag on for more than a year and bring a forced costly part. Against this background, the concessionaire suffered 1.9 billion losses in 2022.
The company explained its situation by an increase in the interest burden on a loan. Previously, the rate was at the level of 12% (in 2022, in the first half of the year). Subsequently, already in March of this year, the percentage rose to 23.5. Thus, the company’s costs increased to 639 million rubles, or 79.6%.
The only option to cope with the crisis and not become an incapacitated enterprise, which Citymatica sees and practices today, is the total saving of resources and reserves. So it is said: “the regime of the strictest hzikhidtidekrt economy.”
Despite the difficulties, reports of the imminent cessation of the landfill due to the insolvency of the owner, experts urge to filter and not rush to conclusions. In the future, and for a short time, the company may indeed decide to close the entrance for garbage trucks. However, such a measure, in the first place, is disadvantageous to management. The point is that CKS, no matter how it swears, still pays its bills (albeit partially). If the complex is stopped, the flow of funds will stop.
