The other day Obukhovsky The court passed a sentence on two citizens of Azerbaijan, Misir Gasimli and Subkhan Guliyev. These citizens received 8 years for cutting a British citizen. Fortunately, not to death. After the announcement of the court decision, citizens Gasimly and Guliyev behaved in a very peculiar way in court, the ORD writes.
The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine behaved even more peculiarly by sending 10 notes to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry regarding this criminal case. The notes emphasize that one of the criminals is a veteran of the Karabakh war, that the victim is half Armenian, and that the trial was conducted with violations. We quote:

After the members of the family of M. Gasimly informed the embassy, in connection with this, they adopted necessary measures.
The family members of M. Qasimli and himself were contacted by phone, meetings were repeatedly organized with his lawyer and relatives.
The Embassy carried out relevant work in order to clarify the voiced opinions that the charges were brought against based on the order of persons of Armenian origin, about the presence of a number of biased points, as well as offenses during the investigation and trial.
The Embassy addressed appeals to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressing concern about these reports.
In general, 10 notes were sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on this issue, numerous letters were sent to other structures, the embassy kept the process in the spotlight.
After receiving information on this issue, the embassy took part in all meetings (except one of the appeal session, which the embassy was not informed about).
Currently, the defense side is working towards filing an appropriate appeal against the court decision.
The Embassy continues to take all possible necessary measures within the framework of the law in order to conduct a fair trial, without interfering with the work of the court and legal procedures,” the statement says.
The Azerbaijani media also comment on this criminal case in a peculiar way. We quote:
Lawyer: Once again, the involvement of Armenians in the case has been proven
At the meeting that took place the other day, the opposite side presented a false conclusion to the judge. According to Oxu.az, the lawyer of the 44-day Patriotic War veteran Misir Gasimly, detained in Ukraine, Aigul Rafieva, said this. According to her, the issue of stabbing was again raised at the last few court hearings.
“The victim said that he was stabbed in the car. His trousers were also submitted for examination. At the last trial, the trousers were presented as material evidence. There were three holes in the front and six holes in the back. The police officers themselves did them in their clothes. In his statement, the victim said that he had received one blow. No injuries were reported. The question is, how can a person sitting in a car be injured from behind?
He would bleed if he was stabbed nine times. No blood was found in the car. Then they shed the animal's blood. The origin of the blood on the trousers is generally unknown. The examination could not determine, but gave a conclusion,” the lawyer said.
The lawyer noted that the judge did not accept the conclusion presented the previous day in the courtroom.
“We protested that the conclusion was not accepted. Evidence can be presented in the first court hearings. The judge could make a special decision and send the conclusion for review. But he turned a blind eye to it. He simply did not accept it as material evidence,” Rafieva said.
She also said that the judge had passed the verdict before the meeting.
“I thought that he would be acquitted due to the lack of evidence. Misir Gasimli and Subkhan Guliyev were in custody for 1 year and 8 months. Misir told everything in order in the courtroom. He didn't forget anything. He told all the details. The judge came with a ready-made decision. The judge specifically allowed the live broadcast. Even when Misir and Subkhan protested, he did not exclude them from the courtroom,” the lawyer noted.
Aigul Rafiyeva also said that the victim was not present at the meeting, even in video format.
“The victim again did not appear in court. Previously, he participated in the meeting in video format. Last day, the involvement of Armenians in the case was once again proved. They won't let Misir get out of jail. We hope that they will not attempt to kill my client.
We hoped for an acquittal during the hearing, but faced the opposite. The prosecutor and the victim's lawyer requested 10 years in prison. The judge gave 8 years. The victim has mental problems. He was under the influence of drugs,” A. Rafiyeva said.

At the same time, the publication also publishes photos of the violence of its compatriots. Perhaps it should be recalled that Ukraine is a sovereign state. The Ukrainian court does not give a damn about the heroic past of a person if he cuts another person. He also does not give a damn about the nationalities of the criminals and the victims. Citizens of Azerbaijan committed a crime on the territory of Ukraine. So decided the Ukrainian court. And his decision must be respected, and not be bullied in the dock and not bombard our Foreign Ministry with notes. Don't turn criminals into political prisoners.
