The family of Alexander Tkachev (No. 1) – 152.1 billion rubles, Igor Khudokormov (No. 2) – 94.3 billion, the Linnik brothers (No. 3) – 77.1 billion
Forbes publishes an annual ranking of the largest landowners in Russia. Ranking leader, like in previous years, became “Agrocomplex” them. N. I. Tkachev, owned by the family of the former Minister of Agriculture Alexandra Tkacheva. The five largest landowners of Russia – in the Forbes gallery
The total area of land owned by the largest domestic latifundists is 8.5 million hectares, and their total value has increased from 617.31 billion rubles to 933.04 billion rubles.
The leader of the rating of the largest landowners remains unchanged – in the first place, as in previous years, Agrocomplex named after. N. I. Tkachev, owned by the family of the former Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev. In terms of area (660,000 ha) of the land fund, the company is inferior to Prodimex Igor Khudokormov (900,000 ha) and Miratorg brothers Viktor and Alexander Linnikov (1.047 million hectares), but exceeds them in value: land plots controlled by Agrocomplex are estimated at 152.1 billion rubles. The reason for this is the constant increase in the cost of land in the Kuban. According to the managing director of the consulting company BEFL Vladislav Novoselov, the cost of land in the Krasnodar Territory has already approached 300,000 rubles per hectare on average, and in some cases exceeds 350,000 rubles. At the same time, the Chernozem region is the leader in terms of the increase in the value of agricultural land in relative terms, Novoselov notes: in a number of regions, since the beginning of 2019, prices for them have increased three to four times.
It is there that the bulk of the land of Prodimex is concentrated, which took second place with an estimate of 94.3 billion rubles. Miratorg closes the top three with an estimate of 77.1 billion rubles. The fourth place belongs to the Steppe agricultural holding, which bought 24,000 hectares in the Stavropol Territory in 2021. Rusagro company Vadim Moshkovich which occupied the fifth place in the rating a year earlier, this year was forced out to the sixth by the Krasnodar concern Pokrovsky.
There is also a newcomer in the rating – Denis Shtengelov’s KDV Agroholding, with an estimated land value of 19.4 billion rubles, took 17th place.
Denis ShtengelovWhat will happen to agricultural land prices in the new economic reality after February 24, 2022? They will probably continue to grow, Novoselov believes: in the face of rising ruble prices, land remains one of the few assets that are not depreciated and bring a stable income. At the same time, changes in conditions, primarily a sharp increase in the cost of attracting financing, will lead to the fact that inefficient players will be forced to leave the market.
