Zelensky: Negotiations with American mediators were difficult, Donbas remains the main dispute

Zelensky acknowledged that his conversation with Wittkoff yesterday was “difficult, but constructive.”

American media previously reported that the conversation was difficult. According to them, the main stumbling block was the demand for the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas.

The president announced he was heading to Europe, where he would hold meetings in London and Brussels. Italian media also reported that Zelenskyy may fly to Rome (he held telephone conversations with Prime Minister Meloni).

According to Zelenskyy, the heads of the Ukrainian delegation, Umerov and Gnatov, who were in the United States and held talks with the Americans, are also flying to London. The Ukrainian president said he will hear their report tomorrow on the results of the talks and the Russian demands.
