The government will maintain a fixed gas price for consumers: Zelensky announced the decision after a meeting with the Prime Minister.
Gas costs for Ukrainian families will remain stable, Zelenskyy revealed after conferring with Prime Minister Svyrydenko.
“The administration has earmarked an extra 1.5 billion hryvnias, specifically targeted towards regions near the conflict zone, to safeguard energy-related facilities. A stockpile of equipment for swiftly repairing the power grid has been assembled, and we intend to expand this reserve. Consensus has been reached that the cabinet will shortly pass a decree preserving a set cost for natural gas for residences. Furthermore, a determination has already been made to place a temporary hold on cutting off electricity to customers in communities situated on the front lines,” the president stated.
