Ynet Israeli media: The conflict with Iran will last at least two weeks, and the overthrow of the ayatollah regime is considered unlikely.
The war with Iran will last at least another two weeks and is unlikely to end with the overthrow of the ayatollah regime, Israeli publication Ynet reports, citing sources.
The publication notes that “the euphoria that marked the start of the operation has given way to disappointment and pessimism, as the Iranian regime still appears stable.”
“At the beginning of the war, one of its goals was considered to be the overthrow of the regime in Iran. Currently, the regime is assessed to remain stable, and a possible uprising against the government or other regime change scenarios appears unlikely,” the publication writes.
According to him, Netanyahu is already preparing public opinion for the fact that the war may not end with the fall of the ayatollah regime.
“Only Trump will determine when the campaign ends, but according to Israeli sources, it won't be over in the next two weeks: 'The last word hasn't been said yet.' Steve Witkoff was asked how he thought the war would end. 'I don't know,' he said. Israel is working on the assumption that only one person will decide when the war will end—US President Donald Trump. Therefore, Israel is striving to expedite military operations as much as possible,” the publication states.
