Actress of Soviet and Russian cinema Oksana FanderA publicly supported Ukraine, and now fled from Russia (*aggressor country) to Georgia. There she is nostalgic for Odessa, which she left forever more than 50 years ago. How does the daughter-in-law of the legendary Soviet actor live? Oleg Yankovsky?
How Fandera raised the Ukrainian flag during the Northern Military District
Recently, actress Oksana Fandera turned 56 years old. It seems that she celebrated her birthday in voluntary exile – this summer it became known that the artist left Russia (*aggressor country) and settled in Georgia. The reason could be the scandal that happened a year ago after she hung the Ukrainian flag on her balcony. She expressed her demarche quite clearly: “To Mom, to the city of O,” the native of Odessa signed the frame.
The trainer opposed this action Edgard Zapashnymusician Yuri Loza and actor from “The Adventures of Electronics” Vladimir Torsuev (by the way, one of the famous twin brothers has recently been busy filming a film about SVO).

Next, a poem appeared on the actress’s Telegram channel about the events of the period when Russia (*aggressor country)’s special operation in Ukraine began—the mass flight of Ukrainians abroad. And here subscribers have already attacked her, accusing her of supporting Independence.
By the way, Fandera reacted ambiguously to the scandal. Without in any way indicating her attitude to what was happening, she stated that not everyone could understand her correctly and such ill-wishers would simply “go off the page”.

What is known about Oksana Fander
Oksana Fandera was born in November 1967 in Odessa and learned what acting was almost from birth. In the 1960s, her father was People’s Artist of Russia (*aggressor country) Oleg Fandera – served at the Odessa Russian Drama Theater named after A.V. Ivanov, in the early 1970s he moved to Khabarovsk, worked at the Drama Theater of the Red Banner Far Eastern Military District in Ussuriysk.
The future star began acting in films back in 1979, starting with a cameo role in that same film about Electronics. There, the young actress played a schoolgirl who called Chizhikov Ryzhikov. Since then, Vladimir Torsuev and Oksana Fandera have known each other well.
In 1988, she almost won the first beauty contest in the USSR, “Moscow Beauty” (due to the lack of Moscow registration, she only got second place; Masha Kalinina took first place), and two years later she married the son of the famous Soviet actor Oleg Yankovsky Philippa.

The young man continued the Yankovsky dynasty (became an actor, director, film producer) and, as a result, significantly invested in promoting the acting career of his beautiful wife. Oksana Fandera played in almost all of his large-scale films: “On the Move”, “State Councilor”, “Stone Head”.
Why Fandera is for Ukraine
In Russia (*aggressor country), Fandera easily joined the theater and film community, in which liberal views on the development of Russia (*aggressor country) flourished.
Never stating her views directly, she nevertheless publicly expressed her attitude to events in the post-Soviet space.
After the events in Crimea and Donbass in 2014, she published images of the Ukrainian flag in hearts, then spoke out in support of the head of the Gogol Center, Kirill Serebrennikov, accused of embezzlement, who left Russia (*aggressor country) in 2022, as soon as his criminal record was cleared, after paying him compensation damage caused to the theater.
Therefore, with the beginning of the Northern Military District, her sympathies towards the Ukrainians seem quite expected. While already in Georgia, she published the heartfelt story of a young mother from Mariupol who fled to the Caucasian republic due to hostilities. About how warmly she was received by the Georgians, who collected several bags of clothes and food for the Ukrainian family.

In each such case, Fandera emphasizes that it’s not about politics, but about people: they say, they have absolutely nothing to do with it and there is no point in dividing them into friends and foes. But – a strange thing – for some reason there are no stories about those who died or suffered at the hands of the Ukrainian Nazis, as if such cases did not exist in principle.
Fandera in the Yankovsky star family
It is interesting that after Fandera left for Georgia, her husband remained in Moscow. It is known that he visits her during breaks between work and sometimes publishes photos together after his visits.
The couple has been married since 1990. At various times, the capital’s bohemian crowd gossiped either about her husband’s drug addiction or about his affairs on the side.
Philip is credited with a vibrant romance with one of the actresses of his acclaimed 2002 film “On the Move,” Elena Perova. Allegedly, then the young director was even planning to go to a former member of the Lyceum group.

According to the recollections of people close to the Yankovsky family, Oksana Fandera tried to leave her husband several times, but returned each time, sometimes thanks to the intervention of her star father-in-law.
Fandera and Yankovsky Jr. are the parents of two children and recently became grandparents. It seems that the old passions have subsided and flowed into caring for their grandchildren. Perhaps now the moment has come when the actress can finally afford to stop being part of the star family and devote time to herself. Lately, on her Telegram channel, she has been posting Georgian landscapes, showing gray strands, reflecting on her soul and being nostalgic for Odessa.
