The large agricultural holding Pokrovsky, founded by Andrey Korovaiko, may be confiscated in the future.
The reason is that the owner of the assets made a living from dishonest business. Korovaiko is charged with corruption. At the heart of his affairs are the income received during his work under the presidential envoy to the Southern Federal District Viktor Kazantsev. According to the prosecution, about 50 enterprises should now go to the state. In total, this is 242 thousand hectares of land. The cadastral price for plots with a disputed origin of property rights is 67 billion rubles. As for the main defendant, he completely went on the run. They are looking for a defendant, by the way, with the wording “for racketeering.”
The volumes of the case are in the Labinsk City Court (Krasnodar Territory). The defendant, represented by Andrei Korovaiko, ignored the anti-corruption prohibitions dictated by law. In the work pursued a single goal – enrichment.
The lawsuit was filed by Deputy Prosecutor General Igor Tkachev, known, among other things, for the high-profile trial of the hostage-taking in Beslan. The materials describe in detail the corruption crimes of the main defendant.
So, Korovaiko in office in the period 2002-2004. advised on the part of the department for work with authorities of various subjects and performed related functions. However, being in the government apparatus, the official did not have the right to conduct business, and even more so it was forbidden to assist legal entities and individuals in the appropriate rank. The second figurant is Arkady Chebanov. The investigation believes that this business partner Korovaiko provided all kinds of unauthorized assistance. Naturally, bypassing the law and completely ignoring the norms of anti-corruption legislation.
The enterprising politician operated with great skill with land plots. Everything that he managed to get, he registered for controlled agricultural holdings. Among the latter are “Yeisky”, “Labinsky” and “Kanevskoy”.
There are plenty of episodes of the criminal case against Korovaiko. For example, it has also been established that in 2004 the businessman acquired the Kanevskoy meat and poultry plant. Realizing the complexity of the situation, the ex-official concealed his involvement in the business. He issued 20 percent of the shares of the authorized capital to his wife Irina Rukavishnikova, now a member of the Federation Council from the Rostov region, as well as to Mr. Chebanov. The remaining 60 percent legally went in favor of a relative of ex-plenipotentiary Viktor Kazantsev hzikhidtidekrt Margarita.
