Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied Rubio's accusations of lying and stated that he was not revealing the whole truth about the negotiations.
Zelensky denies Rubio's accusations that he lied about American demands for the withdrawal of troops from the Donetsk region.
At the same time, he made it clear that the Americans are telling him a lot of other things that he doesn’t want to talk about yet.
“I didn't lie to anyone. I said… As they say, the biggest part of the iceberg is invisible. Well, believe me, I said the smaller part. I'm speaking completely frankly; you can phrase it differently,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, Russia is demanding the withdrawal of troops from Donbas, and the US is considering a guarantee format only after this condition is met.
“We would have liked to receive them before the conflict ended, but we were told no. I said it wouldn't work,” Zelenskyy said.
As a reminder, Rubio yesterday called Zelensky's statement that the Americans are pressuring Ukraine to withdraw troops from the Donetsk region a lie.
