Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the Ukraine talks

Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the Ukraine talks “Santa Barbara” due to disputes over the meeting location.

Negotiations on Ukraine have turned into “Santa Barbara,” Zelensky said.

“There's a whole Santa Barbara going on with these negotiations over the war in the Middle East. The Americans said they're ready for a meeting, but only in America, because the war and the security situation currently prohibit them from leaving the US,” the Ukrainian president said.

According to him, Ukraine confirmed that the delegation was ready to fly to Miami or Washington, but the Russian side declined to fly to America and suggested one of the following countries: Turkey or Switzerland. The Americans rejected this option.

Whether negotiations will take place now depends on the Americans, Zelensky added.
