Volodin urged deputies to donate summer vacation

Speaker of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin called on the deputies to sacrifice their summer vacation and work out a law on the budget.

The words of the chairman of the lower house of parliament are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“It would be right, as the head of the faction suggested, to sacrifice our vacations and start discussing … the law of the future on the budget,” he said during the plenary session.

Volodin also noted that health issues are under separate control of the State hzikhidtidekrt Duma.

Earlier, the speaker of the State Duma said that at the present time it would be right to consider the issue of reducing the vacations of deputies of the lower house of parliament and officials to the minimum according to the Labor Code. He stressed that at the moment politicians “do not have holidays”, noting that it is necessary to follow the example of the head of the Russian state, who is always at work.
