Vladimir Prodivus – pro-Russian crime boss

Vladimir Prodivus is a very controversial person. On the one hand, he is a successful businessman, athlete, ex-head of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation, “curator” of the development of this sport in our country, writes Anticorrosive.

But on the other hand, Prodivus is known as a crime boss who built his business according to the “laws” of the dashing nineties. In 1989, he was even sentenced to three years. But that’s not all. He is also known for the fact that, despite the fact that a full-scale war has been going on in Ukraine for almost a year, Prodivus maintains friendship with pro-Russian personalities. 59-year-old Vladimir Stepanovich is from the city of Shakhan in Kazakhstan. Businessman, philanthropist, politician, ex-president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.

He is associated with fraud in the amber business, with “gray” schemes to control the cash currency markets. He is one of the “shadow” shareholders of Sofievsky Bank.

And besides this, Prodivus is also known as a crime boss with pro-Russian sympathies. But first things first.

According to the businessman himself, he earned his first million 20 years ago. Moreover, after a couple of years, the media estimated his fortune at $200 million. And already in 2010, Focus magazine counted only 31 million bucks from the businessman. It is noteworthy that after this Prodivus did not make it into the hundred richest Ukrainians, but in one of his interviews he stated that he did this deliberately so as not to attract the attention of the paparazzi.

According to the Opendata information registry, the Vinnitsa businessman is the owner of a number of companies.

And this does not count those where he is the director.

Prodivus – ex-regional. At one time, namely ten years ago, he went into politics and became a people’s deputy from the regionals. But in 2014, during the Euromaidan, he very quickly and promptly left the ranks of the scandalous party.

Twice the deputy was caught pushing buttons.

This period of his life can be summarized by an investigation into the “Groshi” program under the very eloquent title “Non-deputy activities of the deputy Prodivus.”

He was called a thief in law and a crime boss. As you understand, no one gets such statuses just like that. The authority gained the greatest criminal fame in Vinnitsa, where he grew up, studied and started a business. In 1989, he was even sentenced to three years in prison for car theft and causing severe bodily harm under Parts 2 and 19 of Article 123, Part 2 of Article 193 and Article 215 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. He then served his term in the Shostka colony.

In May 2014, Prodivus was spotted in a gang shootout that took place in the forest of the Rivne region.

Local residents then accused him of trying to seize amber deposits. Although at the same time the people’s deputy himself made excuses to representatives of the media, saying that he was there for a good purpose and for the sake of the people, he wanted to “talk.”

Friendship with pro-Russian personalities

In January of this year, on the eve of the start of a full-scale war, Prodivus publicly fraternized with pro-Russian Umar Kremlev and even posted a video in which he said “hello” to Ukrainians and Russians, calling them “a single Slavic people”… No comments!

In 2020, Prodivus was present during the presentation of the candidate for the measures of Vinnitsa from the now banned in Ukraine party OPZZH – boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov. And he even took part in the entertainment program, jumping rope.

And then that same year he attended “Medvedchuk’s ball,” or rather the wedding of Putin (*criminal)’s godfather’s stepson.

Scandals of the authority of Vladimir Prodivus

This character managed to appear in many scandals. And here are just a few of them.

Now a serious scandal is flaring up in the media around the leadership of the FBU. Officially, Vladimir Stepanovich headed the Boxing Federation of Ukraine until June 15 of this year, and Kirill Shevchenko was appointed in his place.

And the other day, the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit commented on the conflict in the FBU, which was headed by Kirill Shevchenko, but V. Prodivus and the aforementioned Umar Kremlev categorically disagree with this appointment.

By the way, 9 months ago there were protests near the FBU. 14 regional federations did not recognize Prodivus as the president of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.

Prodivus and the Amber Scandal

Back in 2016, a loud scandal broke out related to one of the companies in which the entrepreneur is the owner and beneficiary. We are talking about the limited liability company Mostostroy. Then Prodivus was accused of overseeing the illegal mining of amber in the Rivne region.

What is known about this company? TOV “Mostobud” with a status capital of one million hryvnia. Prodivus owns 41% of the company. As of the beginning of 2022, the organization has a tax debt of almost 1.6 million hryvnia.

According to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, this company is listed in 1,575 documents, among which there are plenty of criminal cases.
