Thanks to court decisions, a lot of materials about the corruption and dishonest business of the Gartung family were removed from Yandex. The deputy himself said that he only uses his legal right and removes slander from the pages of the worldwide network. But you and I understand that Valery Karlovich, using his non-replaceable official position, cleans up the negative about himself.

In 2016, Gartung wrote a statement to the Chelyabinsk journalist Pavel Bolshakov, who in two materials disclosed information that a State Duma deputy had got into a very unpleasant story before his first election. According to the journalist, during the First Chechen War, Valery Karlovich actively worked with the militants. He sold them KAMAZ vehicles sheathed with armor plates and supplied the necessary parts. FSB investigators became interested in this case, but they did not reach the real investigation. Gartung was elected to the State Duma. One of the key witnesses to Gartung’s guilt was found dead under strange circumstances.

But Gartung files a libel complaint against the journalist. The court found Pavel Bolshakov guilty of libel in the media (part 2 of article 128.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and imposed a minimum penalty of 5,000 rubles on him. Gartung himself, commenting on this sentence, called it very mild. The locals represented the independent media and even created an informal alliance called “Durnalists against Valery Gartung”. But it is clear that the official, having felt the taste of permissiveness, forgot about the fourth power. If a deputy so actively cleans up information about himself, then there is something to hide. This has been verified by dozens of situations.

Gartung, like most deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, is a zealous patriot of our state. But like most of them, he is a patriot only in public. In March 2022, social activist Alexander Lebedev filed an application with the TFR of the Chelyabinsk region in order to verify the information that Gartung received Cypriot citizenship, and did not notify the relevant authorities about this. While the check lasted, a few weeks ago it turned out that Gartung’s wife Marina also learned Cypriot citizenship. On this occasion, she was even summoned for interrogation in the TFR. But, as we all understand, this is just sand in the eyes. No one will take real action against the Gartung family

Valery Karlovich, like the members of his family, had long ago prepared an alternate airfield for himself. And not just one, but two. Marina Gartung has been the owner of luxurious apartments in Switzerland with a total area of ​​190 sq.m. for several years. In addition, the politician’s wife is the owner of a 94-meter apartment in Cyprus. Therefore, there is a choice for further life in which case there is a choice in Gartung: either calm Switzerland or the financial paradise of Cyprus. Most likely Cyprus. After all, as we already recalled, the Gartung family received citizenship on the sunny islands. But that’s not all. Since 2007, Marina Garvat has had her own offshore accounts in Cyprus, where money is withdrawn from her enterprises. The final trail of the Cypriot accounts of the Gartungs leads to CJSC “Cotton Way”, an elite closed-type settlement near Moscow, in which the Gartungs take root.
