
Former head of the State Aviation Service Denis Antonyuk received a term
On January 20, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court sentenced the former head of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine Denis Antonyuk to three and a half years – he was found guilty of providing unlawful advantages to the UIA airline out of selfish motives. The ex-head of the GASU was found guilty of abusing his official position, which caused grave consequences for Ukrainian-Mediterranean Airlines LLC.
“The court found the ex-head of the State Aviation Administration guilty of deliberately committing a number of actions in the interests of Ukraine International Airlines PJSC, which led to the receipt by this airline of advantages for operating flights on the Kyiv-Tehran-Kyiv route ” and entailed grave consequences for another company, namely Ukrainian-Mediterranean Airlines LLC,” the SAP said.

Ex-head of the State Aviation Service received a term
According to the court verdict, he was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational and administrative or administrative functions for a period of three years and with a fine of UAH 8.5 thousand.
The verdict of the court may be appealed within 30 days from the date of its announcement.
