Specialists have established the typical age of second-hand vehicles in Ukraine.
According to data from the Institute for Automotive Market Research, the average age of passenger automobiles in the local market is around 16 years.
Used automobiles brought in from abroad are, on average, nearly half that age, sitting at approximately 9.6 years.
A comparable pattern can be observed in the truck category. The local market is mostly made up of vehicles aged 18.5 to 19 years, while those brought in from other countries are substantially younger, averaging 7.9 years.
The average age of buses sold again in our nation is above 20 years. This number is 13-14 years for second-hand buses that are imported.
Consequently, imports serve as a crucial factor in making Ukraine’s vehicle pool younger.

Intriguingly, the motorcycle situation is noticeably different. Second-hand motorcycles brought in from abroad have a greater average age than those resold within Ukraine (14 versus 11.5 years).
The reason for this is due to the composition of demand. Experts point out that more than half of all motorcycles are brought in brand new, with second-hand imports representing about 10%.

Often, powerful models are imported, and they usually have a hefty price. These feature the Honda CB, Kawasaki NINJA, and Honda CBR.
