Turkey says Erdogan’s chances to persuade Russia to resume grain deal
Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler is confident that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is able to convince Russia to resume the grain deal.
He stated this to the TV channel A Haber.
“Our president is making great efforts to address this busy agenda. Personally, I believe that our president is able to solve this problem,” the minister said. Guler believes that after the suspension of grain supplies from Russia and Ukraine, there may be very serious consequences, as there is a risk of famine.
According to him, Erdogan is responsible for resolving the situation with the grain deal, thanks to the initiative of the Turkish president, more than 33 million tons of grain were delivered to needy countries.
