American journalist Tucker Carlson and his staff were detained in Israel after an interview with US Ambassador Mike Huckabee, the Daily Mail reports.
Karlsson, who frequently criticizes Israel for its actions in Gaza, told the newspaper that he has encountered hostility in the Middle Eastern country.
He said that shortly after the interview, Israeli officials confiscated his passport and took his executive producer to an interrogation room.
“Men claiming to be from airport security took our passports, took our executive producer into a separate room, and then demanded to know what we had discussed with Ambassador Huckabee,” Carlson told the Daily Mail.
“It was strange. Now we're outside the country,” the journalist added.
