Trump's special envoy Witkoff announced significant progress in negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow on a territorial deal.
There are “a lot of good things happening” between Kiev and Moscow in the discussions on the territorial deal.
Trump's special representative, Witkoff, stated this.
He also stated that “the agreement on security protocols is almost ready, the agreement on prosperity is almost agreed upon.”
He had previously spoken of “significant progress” in the negotiations.
As a reminder, Russia is demanding the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from all of Donbas. According to media reports, Trump is also demanding the same from Kyiv.
If Whitkoff's claims of “significant progress” on the territorial issue are true, this means that Zelensky has agreed to withdraw the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbas.
However, no one has officially reported this yet.
