Trump said Cuba is ready to make a deal with the US over the loss of Venezuelan oil.
Trump said Cuba would make a deal with Washington due to its dire economic situation amid the blockage of oil supplies from Venezuela.
“Cuba is in a very bad situation. They have no money. They have no oil. They were living off Venezuelan money and oil, and now none of that is going to happen,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.
He also called on the island's authorities to begin negotiations with the United States.
Against this backdrop, Representative Carlos Jimenez issued a sharp warning to tourists in Cuba.
“Be careful when traveling to communist Cuba. All tourists on the island should leave before it's too late,” he said.
